Chandra Babu Naidu is a veteran politician in India with 45+ years experience. His mettle as The Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh for 14 years (before & after State bifurcation) is evident in the evolution of IT based Cyberabad, progress in Infrastructure, Industrial and Agricultural sectors, and Pioneer Governance.
He was born on 20 April 1950 at Naravaripalle, Chittoor District, Andhra Pradesh. Hailing from a humble background, he completed his BA in 1972 and then Master's. His keen interest in Politics from student life led him into the stream at an early age. He became MLA (Member of Legislative Assembly) for Chandragiri Constituency in 1978 for the first time. He has been undefeated in Kuppam Constituency since 1989.
He served as the Chief Minister of Erstwhile Andhra Pradesh (1995-2004) and he was the first Chief Minister of The New Age Andhra Pradesh (2014-2019). His Adept Governance saw Information Technology boom in Andhra Pradesh, Infrastructure Improvement, and Industrial and Agriculture progress. Initiatives like Dial Your Chief Minister, Rythu Bazaars, e-Governance, new Investment Policy, etc., were lauded by the Public, Political and Business circles.

Chandra Babu Naidu was born on 20 April 1950 at Naravaripalle, Chittoor District, Andhra Pradesh. He came from a humble background. His father, Nara Kharjura Naidu was a farmer, and his mother, Amanamma was a housewife. His education started in Seshapuram (till class 5), then Chandragiri Government High School (till Class 9) and Tirupati from Class 10 to Master's.
He completed his BA in 1972. Thereafter, he pursued MA in Economics at S.V. College of Arts. He was interested in politics from student life, and it had prompted him to serve as a Student Leader. In 1978, he won as the Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) from Chandragiri Constituency. He was the Youngest Minister in the State Cabinet (Age: 28) when he served as Technical Education and Cinematography Minister.
Impressed by the abilities of Chandra Babu Naidu, the demi god of Andhra Pradesh - NTR, made him his son-in-law.
After the display of eminent political skills in thwarting the Political Coup led by Nadendla Bhaskar Rao in 1984, NTR made him the General Secretary of TDP. Chandra Babu Naidu's role after 1989 elections was key in propelling TDP to power in 1994.
He has served as the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh from 1995-2004. He was known to introduce innovative measures in governance and infrastructure, which led to the eminent progress of Information Technology, Industrialization and Agriculture in Andhra Pradesh.
Chandra Babu Naidu has served as the Opposition Leader from 2004-2014. During this time he fought for various public causes. After the bifurcation of the State, TDP won the elections in 2014 in Andhra Pradesh. He served as the First Chief Minister of the New Age Andhra Pradesh (2014-2019).
He did eminently in developing the Sunrise State and its capital, Amaravati, from the ground.
From 1989 to present, Chandra Babu Naidu is undefeated in Kuppam Constituency! He is the Longest Serving Chief Minister and Opposition Leader of Andhra Pradesh.
